Account Executive (two available positions)
We are searching for an experienced Multimedia Account Executive. As part of our total compensation benefits package we offer comprehensive medical plans, three weeks’ vacation, 401k, and tuition reimbursement just to name a few.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and grow existing client list by utilizing our market leading FOX stations, digital properties, and industry leading OTT platform to create impactful marketing campaigns for advertising partners.
- Develop a consistent stream of new business and manage the entire sales cycle in order to achieve monthly revenue targets.
- Gain key insight on client goals and objectives in order to make presentation and recommendations to successfully achieve them with all of our offerings.
- Responsible for selling sponsorships that may include promotions initiated by sales persons.
- Ability to create impactful multi-platform advertising campaigns that include KTVU/KTVU+, KTVU’s digital offerings, and OTT.
- Utilize all available sales tools in order to educate clients on the broadcast landscape and develop value propositions to earn client’s business.
- Manage and maintain campaigns to ensure all deliverables are met and provide superb after-sales support in order to develop long lasting partnerships.
- Other duties assigned as deemed necessary and appropriate
Minimum Requirements:
Media sales or other outside sales experience preferred.
- Ability to create, present, and sell through opportunities to Clients and Advertising agencies.
- Experience with Wide Orbit, Wide Orbit Media Sales, and Kantar applications a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office programs including Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook.
- Effective time management, communication, and problem-solving skills required.
- Must possess a driver's license with a good driving record
- High School diploma is required; 4-year College degree is preferred

Broadcast Technician (Per Diem)

We are looking for a Per Diem Broadcast Technician. Come be a part of a winning team with a diverse culture that believes in supporting, mentoring, and training our staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operating in Master Control, the Technical Operations Center, and Ingest.
- Master Control automation experience a must with an emphasis on switching live sports.
- Ensuring compliance with FCC regulations related to closed captioning, EAS, transmitters, text-to-speech, and the CALM Act.
- Live news experience is also a must to include tuning in live shots via microwave, satellite, and bonded cellular.
- Other duties include commercial and program ingest and segmentation as well as quality control of on-air signal.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts that may include nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays. Other duties as deemed appropriate and necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
- The ability to work under tight timelines and high stress while maintaining an exceptional on-air product.
- Basic technical troubleshooting skills and the ability to properly communicate issues to the Maintenance Engineers and supervisors.
- Computer hardware, software, and networking experience and the ability to quickly learn new applications and workflows.
- Must work well with others in and out of the Engineering department and be able to communicate clearly in writing as well as in person.
- Two years of college or technical school and two years of related experience preferred.

Per Diem News Reporter

We're currently seeking a full-time Reporter with strong editorial, storytelling, live and digital skills. Duties and Responsibilities
Successful reporters are dynamic individuals who are curious about the community and world around them; creative in sourcing, developing and producing engaging stories for our broadcast, streaming and digital platforms; and competitive in monitoring other sources of news, challenging themselves to be different and working to continually elevate KTVU coverage. This position requires a strong understanding of newsroom production and an ability to work with different teams to create content for multiple platforms. While reporting is the core focus of the position, we are also looking for an individual who feels comfortable in different roles in the newsroom on and off camera, including digital production, sports, weather and special projects.
- Serve as an on-air presenter of news stories, interviews, and other content for all TV, streaming and digital platforms in a manner that is clear, engaging, and meaningful to news consumers.
- Stay at the frontline of breaking news situations, taking on flexible duties when assigned, to deliver live reporting that captures the veracity of the moment.
- Present content live conversationally and with confidence and comfort on various platforms
- Take charge of coordinating and producing compelling interview segments, ensuring content is informative and resonates with our diverse audience.
- Demonstrate an exceptional capacity for researching, reporting, and writing broadcast and digital print news copy on deadline, while adhering to station standards for precision and clarity.
- Independently create unique and compelling content for a variety of digital platforms, including streaming channels, social media, Connected TV apps, and other digital media.
- Develop and maintain an engaging social media presence that complements station’s brand image
- A strong understanding of newsroom production, various daypart reporting needs, and creating content for multiple platforms.
- Willingness to travel and present from the field as required.
- Other duties assigned as deemed appropriate and necessary.
Minimum Requirements
- A deep connection to the San Francisco Bay Area is highly favorable—whether you grew up, attended school, or have previously worked in the region, we value your intrinsic understanding of our community and its stories.
- High school diploma is required; 4-year College degree is preferred.
- Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of experience with fast-paced television productions, including live shots, in-studio, and field interviews.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills are required.
