Flames shoot out from windows from Oakland apartment building near Lake Merritt

OAKLAND, Calif. - A two-alarm fire broke out Tuesday morning at a three-story Oakland apartment building near Lake Merritt, sending hot, orange flames shooting from the windows.

The fire was reported before 8 a.m. at Second Avenue and International Boulevard.

There were no immediate reports of any injuries but two people were displaced. 

Firefighters declared the fire under control by 8:40 a.m.
