Car slams into San Francisco house, elderly woman sleeps inside
SAN FRANCISCO - San Francisco police are investigating a crash early Monday morning after a car slammed into a home where an elderly woman was sleeping and was fortunately not hurt.
Officer Rueca said police are considering this a hit-and-run because the driver fled the scene - a home in the 3800 block of 37th Avenue at the corner of Sloat Boulevard.
The red car slammed into the homesat 2:14 a.m. A female passenger was taken to the hospital and the driver was nowhere to be found. The home suffered significant damage.
Drew Greenspan said his grandmother, who is in her 90s, was asleep when the car struck her home. "She heard a loud noise," he said, adding that the ordeal startled her but she was not hurt.
