A 64-year-old woman died in a Chinatown hit-and-run early Friday morning, and San Francisco police later ended up arresting the driver, a 35-year-old man.

Officer Robert Reuca said the accident occurred about 5 a.m. at Broadway and Stockton Street. The woman was taken to the hospital where she later died. The driver fled, but was later located and taken into custody, Reuca said.

Three hours later, there were several road closures in the surrounding area.
