Fire displaces four in Walnut Creek

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - An early Tuesday morning fire destroyed a home  in Walnut Creek and displaced four people inside.

The single-alarm fire was reported at 3:50 a.m. in the 1400 block of Springbrook. 
Contra Costa County Fire Protection District Fire Marshal Robert Marshall said one person suffered some smoke inhalation and there was another person inside who was recovering from a previous stroke, but everyone got out safely.

Firefighters knocked the blaze down in 30 minutes. Crews were checking the attic to see if the fire started there. But the cause and origin had not yet been determined.
