A first grade class at Hillcrest School in Oakland is starting out the year with a reminder that like their beloved NBA team, they are all champs.

Longtime teacher Candace Inclan went all out to decorate her classroom awash in Warriors decor.

Students in room 7 kicked off the first day of school on Monday and walked into a classroom adorned in blue and gold with decorations including banners celebrating the Warriors' 2018 championship on the walls, paper basketball lanterns and fans cascading from the ceiling, and a Kevin Durant bobblehead in an area where the student, or the "MVP" of the week will be featured.

In the hallway, outside the classroom hangs a large banner reminding all those who pass that they are on Warriors Ground. Individualized press passes await each student on the hook where the kids hang their backpack and lunch everyday.

Ms. Inclan was of course decked out in Warriors gear for her first-day-of-school outfit.

The teacher is known for her passion and dedication to her students and her creative and enthusiastic ways to get kids excited about learning.

Over the summer break, she was spotted on numerous occasions in the mostly empty school working diligently to get prepped for her new batch of 6 and 7 year olds.

Every school year, Inclan picks a fun theme for her class which she uses as a center-piece throughout the year. Past themes include the Oakland Athletics and Harry Potter.

Coming off of last season's championship win and the Warriors no doubt being the overwhelming favorite sports team among the students at the Oakland school, this year's theme may have been the natural choice.

Here's to a winning school year!
