More than 72,000 Bay Area PG&E customers without power as storm continues

A powerful storm made landfall Wednesday, knocking out power, flooding roadways and causing delays. More than 72,000 Pacific Gas and Electric customers were at least momentarily out of power, according to the utility.

Number of PG&E customers impacted, as of 8 p.m.:

  • North Bay - 33,055
  • Peninsula - 20,090
  • South Bay - 10,110
  • East Bay -  5,740
  • San Francisco - 3,030
  • Total - 72,025
