One dead, one rushed to trauma center after overnight crash in San Jose

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KTVU) - The California Highway Patrol is investigating a deadly car crash on Interstate 680 in San Jose, early Thursday  morning.

Officers say the car was headed southbound, shortly after 3 a.m., near McKee Road.

They said that for some reason, the car crossed over to the off-ramp and rolled off the road.

The passenger in the car died and the driver was taken to a trauma center.

The CHP has not yet identified them.

The CHP did say that speed does not appear to have been a factor in the crash.
