One injured in Martinez house fire
MARTINEZ, Calif. (BCN) - One person was injured in a blaze early Saturday at a home in Martinez, according to a dispatcher Crews responded about 3:25 a.m. to the fire at a house in the 4000 block of Camino Vinedo, the dispatcher said.
The homeowner was taken to a hospital with moderate burn injuries, according to a tweet by the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District. No other injuries were reported.
Firefighters brought the single-alarm blaze under control shortly after 4 a.m. Exterior attack was used due to a significant hazard of collapse, according to a tweet from the Confire public information officer.
The burned home, which had been undergoing renovation, was boarded up after the blaze. No damage estimate was available.
