Person injured by broken glass in Oakland freeway shooting

All lanes are open again on eastbound Interstate Highway 980 just west of Interstate Highway 580 in Oakland following a freeway shooting, officials with the California Highway Patrol said. 

At least one person was injured by broken glass and was taken to the hospital, according to CHP Officer Herman Baza 

Officials say they received a call of the incident at around 7:34 p.m. The closure was reported at 7:51 p.m. 

Motorists experienced delays for a few hours and were advised to use alternate routes to avoid the area. 

CHP is investigating the incident. So far there is no word on a suspect or suspect vehicle.
