San Francisco passes measure to protect firefighters from toxic chemicals

A new resolution unanimously passed by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors aims to protect firefighters from toxic carcinogens in the gear they wear. The chemicals that are used to help make the gear resist heat, water and other hazards have been increasingly linked to cancer and other serious health effects. KTVU's Heather Holmes discusses the measure with Adam Wood, Vice President of the San Francisco Firefighters Cancer Prevention Foundation.
