1 dies, 1 injured on Richmond-San Rafael Bridge

Westbound lanes on Interstate 580 on the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge reopened late Sunday night after a fatal crash.

The lanes reopened at 11:30 p.m. 

The accident occurred near the bridge's mid-span in the westbound direction. 

Officials said there was one confirmed fatality, and it appears to be two vehicles involved. 

Another person was transported to a hospital, their condition is unknown.
