1 in custody following shooting at Hayward BART station
HAYWARD, Calif. (BCN) - A person wanted by Hayward police is in custody following a shooting this evening in the area of the Hayward BART station, BART officials said.
Reports of shots fired came in at 7:28 p.m. in the area of the station at 699 B St.
The station is closed though trains are running through the station. Major delays exist in the Fremont, Dublin and Richmond directions.
BART officials are asking passengers to avoid the station as police investigate the shooting.
No injuries have been reported and no threat to public safety exists.
