Video shows moments leading up attempted armed robbery shooting
Surveillance video shows a victim being shot during an attempted armed robbery in Oakland Tuesday afternoon.
OAKLAND, Calif. - One person was shot during an attempted robbery in Oakland Tuesday afternoon, according to police.
The shooting happened just before 12:15 p.m. in the 1900 block of Park Boulevard.
The Oakland Police Department said the victim was approached by two suspects, one armed with a gun.
"While the individuals attempted to rob the victim one discharged their firearm striking the victim," the police department said.
The suspects fled the scene.
The victim was taken to a local hospital where they are listed in stable condition, police said

Victim shot during Oakland attempted robbery
One person was shot during an attempted robbery Tuesday afternoon in Oakland.
Surveillance video from a nearby business showed the moments leading up to the encounter.
The video showed the victim sitting down at a park and is then approached by two people wearing dark clothing. One of the suspects is seen on the video trying to grab a bag from the victim, who appears to put up a fight.
The suspects are seen running off with the bag and into a getaway car with the victim trailing them, the video showed.
The suspect vehicle takes off and then bystanders are seen running toward the victim, possibly to help.
The incident comes one day after a 15-month-old baby was shot while riding in a car through Oakland.
