SAN JOSE, Calif. (KTVU) - One suspect has died and another was injured in an officer-involved shooting in San Jose early Christmas morning, according to police.
San Jose police said the shooting occurred at the intersection of Leigh and Fruitdale avenues at around 2.30 a.m.
The suspect who was killed wasn't identified. The second suspect suffered injuries not considered life-threatening. No officers were injured.
It is unclear what led up to the shooting, but the suspects were driving a white car that smashed into a fence of an elementary school.
San Jose police crime scene unit officers were reconstructing the scene Tuesday morning where multiple shell casings could be scene on the ground.
