A 1-year-old boy disappeared on Wednesday afternoon during an unsupervised visit with his mother, Napa police said.

Saul Martinez Rafael was dropped off by a Child Welfare Services' employee at 1 p.m. at the home of Antonia Rafael-Velasquez for a visit.

When the employee returned at 4 p.m., Saul and his mother were gone, Napa police said in a news release.

Police also saw that the mother's closet had been cleared out, police said.

The mother has no known vehicle.

Napa police said they are investigating "all possibilities" of why Rafael-Velasquez has not been in contact with welfare services and "whether this is a possible parental abduction."

Police said at this point, there is no evidence of foul play.

Napa County Sheriff's Department said Rafael-Velasquez, 27, is approximately 5'5", 150 lbs with black hair, and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a floral scarf, blue pants and her hair pulled back in a bun.

If you see Antonia Rafael-Valasquez and/or her son or have information about their whereabouts, contact the Napa Police Department at 9-1-1 or (707) 257-9223 (24 hours.) Anonymous tips can be texted to Tip411. We are working with the Napa County District Attorney’s Office and other allied agencies to locate Saul and his mother.
