16-year-old killed in Oakley house party shooting identified
The 16-year-old boy, who lost his life in a shooting at a house party in Oakley over the weekend, has been identified by the coroner.
OAKLEY, Calif. - The 16-year-old boy, who lost his life in a shooting at a house party in Oakley over the weekend, has been identified by the coroner.
The Contra Costa County sheriff-coroner identified the teen as Ke’Marion Tucker.
Ke'Marion was shot and killed Saturday at a home on Shannon Way at about 11:15 p.m. Three others teens were wounded in the shooting and hospitalized, said authorities.
One of the injured victims was released from the hospital.
Oakley police officers had been dispatched to the home just 30 minutes before the shooting for noise complaints about a large party. When officers stopped by the home they warned that the party was too loud. But after officers left, dozens of teens crashed the event.
Dustin Lewis, who lives a couple doors down from where the shooting erupted, said, "Twenty or 30 kids that showed up at the party, they were not invited, or were not able to get in through the front door, and so they broke around the side gate, got around the back, and that's when all hell broke loose."

Frustration over fatal Oakley house party shooting, parents demand students' safety
Hundreds of community members attended a meeting Monday night at a local high school held by the Oakley police chief following this weekend's deadly house party shooting. Investigators are still searching for the shooter.
Police said screaming was then heard from inside the home and several people were seen running out of the front door.
"I immediately heard 6 shots go off, immediately, rapid gunfire, called 911 reported there was gunfire. It was like chaos after the gunshots went off," said Lewis.
Police believe there was only one shooter, who remains at large.
Ke'Marion was a student at Liberty High School in Brentwood.
