2 inmates still missing from East Bay detention facility
Two inmates that escaped a detention facility in Contra Costa County have still not been located. Their escape has made people in the East Bay, especially Clayton, nervous. Officials gave more information about their escape Sunday.
CLAYTON, Calif. - The Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office said they are looking for two inmates who escaped from the Marsh Creek Detention Facility in Clayton.
Sheriff's officials asked residents to lock their homes and cars while they search for the inmates who escaped Sunday.
Geraldo Ramirez-Vera, of Richmond, is 33-years-old, 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs approximately 140 pounds. He has long black hair and brown eyes.
Jorge Garcia-Escamilla, of Pittsburg, is 28-years-old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs approximately 165 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes.

Officials described both inmates as Hispanic males. Both inmates were wearing all white or all yellow.
"We pretty much keep our doors locked all the time I just obviously wouldn’t’ let my teenage daughter out in the neighborhood roaming around at this time," said Clayton resident Natalie Funke.
They released little details about the escape, and said people should not try to contact the inmates.

The jail is a minimum security facility located in a rural area.
"We were a little nervous we have a lot of kids we have a lot of people out with their dogs," said Marianne Garrison who lives in the Clayton Palms Community.
Both men face felony charges for escaping.
