2 suspects arrested in shooting targeting 2 SJPD officers

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KTVU) - Two arrests have been made in connection with a shooting that targeted two police officers in San Jose.
The shooting occurred Sunday evening.
The San Jose Police Officers' Association had offered a $10,000 reward for information that can help investigators apprehend the suspect who fired at two officers on routine patrol near Avalani Avenue and Luby Drive around
7:30 p.m. Sunday, SJPOA director Sean Pritchard said during a news conference at the neighborhood this afternoon.
The officers were working on gang eradication efforts in the area and confronted a group of people who quickly fled, according to Pritchard, a sergeant with the department.
One member of the group took out a handgun and fired multiple rounds at the officers as he fled, Pritchard said.
The officers weren't struck by the bullets and didn't return fire, police said.
Additional details on the two arrests have not been released.
