3 Bay Area Planned Parenthoods to close as Medi-Cal reimbursements shrink
RICHMOND, Calif. (KTVU) - Three Bay Area Planned Parenthood facilities are preparing to shut their doors because of shrinking Medi-Cal reimbursements.
Planned Parenthood of Northern California says offices in Richmond, Pittsburg and Vacaville will close by the end of next month.
The health care organization says further closures could be coming following the repeal of the Affordable Care Act, also known as "Obamacare".
The Republican's replacement, the American Health Care Act, which passed the House, but not the Senate, yet, would cut all federal funding for Planned Parenthood.
