3 hospitalized, one in critical after 5-vehicle San Francisco crash

Three people were taken to the hospital after a crash involving five vehicles in San Francisco on Tuesday afternoon. 

The crash occurred on the city's northern waterfront at Hyde and Bay streets. The crash was first reported at 2:37 p.m.  

The cable car line in that area shut down for more than about two and a half hours before it was up and running and the traffic delays were cleared. 

One person is in critical condition. 

At this point, additional details have not been released.
