Amber Alert canceled after missing San Francisco boy found
SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) -- The missing 11-month-old boy whose disappearance triggered an Amber Alert Thursday morning has been found unharmed, authorities said.
William Brown was found unharmed at a San Mateo liquor store after a witness saw the woman and boy and called police, authorities said.
The women seen with him, Phoebe Haynes, was also found at a Redwood City Big Lots, investigators said in a written statement. Authorities said medical workers cleared the boy at the scene and Haynes was taken into custody and would be transported to San Francisco.
It was not immediately clear what charges might be filed in the case.
The boy was taken Wednesday, Aug. 31 at 8 p.m. from San Francisco, according to the multi-county alert issued Thursday morning to help locate the toddler.
Haynes, 44, was last seen driving a 2004 white Acura TI, with a California license plate 7HPY348. The front bumper may be black.
The boy was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and gray pajamas with sharks on them. Haynes, is a 44-year-old black female, standing 5 feet tall, weighing 180 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, last seen wearing a black jacket, a skirt, and boots.
