Antioch police save Christmas after thieves stole gifts under tree
ANTIOCH, Calif. - The Antioch Police Department saved Christmas for one family after thieves stole gifts from under their tree.
Police wrote on Facebook Saturday that they responded to a burglary last week.
The suspects escaped with all the gifts.
The woman had recently lost her job, and was unable to replace the gifts for her family and young daughter, police wrote.
Officer Ashley Lundin, who responded to the burglary, rallied her patrol team, and with the generosity of the community, they were able to replace all the stolen gifts.
The woman was incredibly grateful for the help from the officers.
She thanked them with a big batch of cookies.
