Armed robbery suspect escapes after wild chase

Here's KTVU crime reporter Henry Lee's Rap Sheet blog for April 6, 2016:

SEEN THIS GUY? Pleasant Hill police are searching for a heavily-tattooed suspect they say committed an armed robbery at a Nordstrom Rack store.

Police say parolee Charles Justus, 22, of Hayward was armed with a gun when he robbed the store at 703 Contra Costa Blvd. about 1:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Employees called 911, and officers spotted Justus in a 2000 beige Dodge Durango and began chasing him, said Pleasant Hill police Lt. Scott Vermillion.

The pursuit continued through neighboring cities and the freeway before officers decided to break off the chase when the suspect drove onto oncoming traffic, Vermillion said. Police later determined that a woman and three young children were in the Dodge at the time of the chase, he said.

HOW ABOUT THESE GUYS? San Jose police are asking for the public's help in identifying two men who were captured on surveillance video robbing a 7-Eleven store.

The holdup happened at the store at 188 N. 6th Street at about 9:20 p.m. Sept. 25. The men took several cases of beer and then fled without paying.

When they were confronted by employees, one of the men brandished a large knife.
