Arraignment today for suspect in Twin Peaks triple shooting

The man accused of shooting and killing two people, and injuring another person on San Francisco's Twin Peaks, is due to be arraigned Thursday.

Richard Contreras, 26, faces two counts of murder, and one count of attempted murder.

If prosecutors add in special circumstances, such as multiple murders, they could seek the death penalty.

Contreras is accused of killing 21-year-old Julio Peraza,  and 19-year-old Rrene Mora,  atop Twin Peaks, on Valentine's Day.

An 18-year-old man was also critically injured.

Police said the shooting was not a random attack.
