SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) - The home of the San Francisco Giants is reportedly getting a new name. The team plans to make the official announcement Thursday, but word has leaked that the Giants have reached an agreement to rename AT&T Park to Oracle Park.
The Chronicle reports on the 20-year-naming rights deal, saying it was worth upwards of $300 million.
The Giants home was originally called Pacific Bell Park, then SBC Park before becoming AT&T Park in 2006.
SF Business Times reports the Oracle name is coming down from the Warriors' Arena in Oakland as the team heads to the Chase Center in SF's Mission Bay this spring.
Oracle is based in Redwood City.
