Baby and mama red panda make debut at Smithsonian's National Zoo (VIDEO)
WASHINGTON - A baby and mama red panda made their debut at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo on Thursday.
Nutmeg and Jackie, the adorable mother and son duo, got to explore their habitat in the Asia Trial section of the zoo.
The National Zoo posted video to its Facebook page of the red pandas playing together and they were an instant hit among the zoo’s followers.

Red Pandas are native to the mountains of central China, Nepal and northern Myanmar.
They are considered endangered in the wild due to habitat destruction, poaching and climate change.
