Baby baboon born at Oakland Zoo

OAKLAND, Calif. (KTVU) - A baby baboon was born at the Oakland Zoo. 

Zachary was born on April 22.

According to the zoo, this was the sixth baboon birth at the zoo in three years. 

The baboon troop is now a total of 15, which is the second largest in country, according to the zoo. 

The baby baboon was named Zachary. His parents are 20-year-old Krista and 15-year-old Martijn. 

The zoo says, "Zachary is adjusting wonderfully to his surroundings and is already attempting to assert some independence."
