Bay Area prepares for Super Bowl 50
Fans packed into Bourbon Steak & Bourbon Pub, located at Levi's Stadium.
49ers fans, like Jason Pruitt said they had their reasons for watching the big game, in the home of the '9ers.
"I'm here scouting the competition for next year, that's the only reason I'm watching," said Pruitt.
Even in the sea of red and gold, it was possible to find a few Seahawks fans.
Amber Riyat, is a recent transplant to the Bay Area. She says she and her husband live close to the Levi's Stadium.
"We actually live a mile away from the stadium," said Riyat. "We actually got our apartment because we can see the stadium. So, needless to say, it's been a little difficult."
Inside Bourbon, a pair of former 49ers were eating and enjoying the game. Former wide receiver John Taylor says he hopes that the team can do something no NFL team has done so far.
"There's never been a team playing in the Super Bowl when it's at their home stadium, so it'd be awesome for the '9ers."
Fans say they're already hoping for a great next season, one that ends with a Super Bowl appearance, where the 49ers have the ultimate home field advantage. "I'm a season ticket holder, hopefully I'll get picked in the lottery and I get a ticket and I could be here rooting them on, you know," said Pruitt.
Stadium officials spent the weekend in Arizona, to see first hand what it takes to host the biggest night of football. Super Bowl 50 is set for February 7, 2016.
