Belongings left at Gilroy festival after shooting may take days to retrieve

Following the mass shooting at the Gilroy Garlic Festival on Sunday, people who have personal  belongings, vehicles and other goods to retrieve from the scene will experience significant delays, city officials said.

The FBI is reportedly in the process of securing, documenting, cataloging and warehousing belongings found at the crime scene.

The FBI says the recovery of those belongings and their return to their rightful owners may take several days.

Members of the public in need of assistance replacing prescription medications should call (408) 842-0432 for assistance.
