Blue Angles cancel show in Sacramento, scheduled to be in Oakland today

The Blue Angels were grounded in Sacramento after their flight leader suddenly came down with a case of food poisoning.

He was treated by the team's flight surgeon and he'll be checked out later this morning.

The Navy's precision flying team tweeted it does plan to fly today.

Anyone who had tickets for yesterday can use them to get into today's show at Mather Airport.

Besides the Blue Angels, there were other attractions for the fans. They included some of the planes and helicopters that have been flying in the United States military since World War Two.

After the Sacramento shows wraps up, the Blue Angels are scheduled to head to Oakland.

The team will be based at the Oakland Airport during Fleet Week. The blue angels are supposed to land at the airport this evening.

However, depending on the health of the flight leader, that could be delayed.

They are expected to fly tomorrow and then start official practices on Thursday.

Performances over San Francisco and the bay area are set for next Saturday and Sunday. All those flights are based on good enough weather for the jet team to fly safely.
