Car rams into Pleasanton Chinese restaurant

A driver crashed into a Chinese restaurant Saturday afternoon in Pleasanton, according to officials.

Video shared with KTVU shows a car partially inside Hunan Chef on Valley Avenue.

Livermore-Pleasaton Fire responded to the scene to treat injuries and help clear the scene. No injuries were reported to the driver or the building's occupants.

Pleasanton police also responded and contacted the city's building inspector to evaluate the building.

Fire crews cleared the debris to prevent any possible falling hazards and also temporarily shut off electricity to the building.

It's unknown what led up to the crash.

It's also unclear what charges the driver could be facing, if any. Pleasanton police did not respond to KTVU's inquiries.
