On Monday, a GoFundMe was set up to help the family with funeral costs for the children.

The young victims were remembered as vibrant and loving.

"Damian & Aaliyah were sweet, loving, full of life kids who will be missed greatly. They touched everyone they met," the GoFundMe said. "They were always helpful and loved camping in Lake Tahoe, where they often went with their grandparents."

The family said they were heartbroken.

The GoFundMe read, "To say that the Montanez-Rincon family are devastated with this loss is an understatement."

Damian was in the fourth grade at Northwood Elementary School in Napa. His sister was in third grade.

In a statement, the Napa Valley Unified School District said, "Our hearts go out to the family as we grieve with our community and offer support during this difficult time. We continue to have counseling and social worker support available for students and staff."
