CHP looking for driver of abandoned Dodge SUV that ran into water near San Mateo Bridge

California Highway Patrol officers are looking for the driver who ran a Dodge SUV into the water near the San Mateo Bridge Toll Plaza early Thursday morning.

Officers responded to a report of the vehicle in the water just before 3 a.m. off Highway 92. The crash took out about 25 feet of chain link fence before the Dodge came to a stop in the water. 

When the officers arrived, they found the Dodge had been abandoned. There's no word yet on caused the vehicle to run off the highway.
