CHP officers taken to hospital after crash in Redwood City

REDWOOD CITY (Christien Kafton/KTVU) - Two California Highway Patrol officers were taken to the hospital early Thursday morning in a solo vehicle accident on US Highway 101 in Redwood City.

That accident was reported about 3:15 a.m. and the CHP tweeted the officers were "OK."

The officers were responding to another officer's call, lost control and hit the center divide, officials said.

Before 6 a.m., southbound lanes on 101 were closed between Whipple and Woodside roads.
