City College of San Francisco to get salary increases in new labor agreement

SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) - Faculty at City College of San Francisco will get a pay raise after the school's Board of Trustees approved a labor agreement with the American Federation of Teachers Local 2121, city college officials announced Friday.
The new contract translates to about $9 million in salary increases over the next three years for the school's full and part-time faculty, college officials said.
The agreement would bring the faculty's salaries in line with those of other Bay Area community colleges by the third year.
"We sat down at the negotiating table with the same goal in mind: to work together to bring our faculty salaries to the median of the Bay 10 community colleges within the next three years," Dianna Gonzales, Vice Chancellor of Human Resources and the college's chief negotiator, said in a statement.
"The labor contract also represents the parties' ongoing commitment to work together to foster an environment consistent with the Board's core values," she said.
