SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. (KTVU) - San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was invited to speak to the congregation of Third Baptist Church of San Francisco Sunday morning, but he didn't attend.
Rev. Amos Brown extended the invitation to Kaepernick after his controversial decision to sit and kneel during the national anthem in a silent protest against racial inequality and oppression.
Rev. Brown cited Kaepernick's rigorous training as the reason he wasn't able to attend.
