San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department says the county coroner has released the names of the 14 victims killed in Wednesday’s multi-casualty attack at Inland Regional Center in the City of San Bernardino.

According to police, the Coroner Division completed their on-scene investigation early Thursday morning and has notified next of kin for the victims involved. Notification of family members was completed by 3:30 p.m..

“This shooting has caused each victims family, friends and co-workers, along with the first responders, to suffer an enormous personal tragedy. We must stand strong and offer support to each individual affected by this senseless attack”, stated Sheriff John McMahon.

The victims, killed during a holiday party when Syed Farook and his wife Tashfeen Malik opened fire, range in age from 26 to 60 years old.

Many of them worked together at the county health department.

Bennetta Bet-Badal’s family said she fled Iran as a teen to escape Islamic extremism. She lived in Rialto with her husband and their three young children.

31-year-old Tin Nguyen was a health inspector at the San Bernardino County Health Department and was preparing for her wedding.

Several memorials went up at Inland Regional Center, the site of the shooting, in honor of the victims.

52-year-old Nicholas Thalasinos was an employee of the San Bernardino Department of Health in the environmental division as an inspector alongside suspect, Syed Farook.  He leaves behind a wife, Jennifer, a second grade teacher at Colton Joint Unified School District. She had reportedly met her husband online when he was living in New Jersey. He moved to San Bernardino to be with her.

Environmental specialist Michael Wetzel, 37, was a father of six. His kids range in age from an infant to teenagers. According to reports, he was in a meeting when the shooters came in.  A crowd funding page was set up for the family on Youcaring. His wife had apparently written, “Please pray. My husband was in a meeting and a shooter came in. There are multiple people dead/ shot. I can’t get a hold of him.”

Eight hours later she learned her husband had been killed. So far the site has raised nearly $150,000 by Thursday evening. The family’s church has also set up a web site to help Wetzel’s wife, a stay at home mom.

42-year-old Daniel Kaufman ran the coffee shop at Inland Regional Center.

58-year-old Damien Meins was a worker with the county’s environmental health department. He was once a teacher who would play Santa for children in Riverside.

Sierra Clayborn, 27, had worked at the environmental health department since 2013. They are all being remembered as bright lights extinguished by the tragedy.
