SANTA CLARA, Calif. (KTVU) – In the wake of last Monday’s attack at Levi’s Stadium, some Santa Clara City Council members want the city to consider ending Levi’s Stadium alcohol sales after halftime.

Councilwoman Lisa Gillmor tells the San Francisco Chroncile, the council will explore that option, as well as talk about increasing the number of police officers assigned to the stadium.

Santa Clara police say the suspects are seen in a video, beating a Vikings fan in the parking lot after last Monday’s game.

The Vikings fan and a security guard who tried to break up the fight were both injured, but are expected to be OK.

Santa Clara's police chief says his officers typically make about 30 arrests each game, mostly for alcohol-related issues.

But he says he doesn't think ending sales early will make a difference, because, "there is an element that will still behave badly."
