Deadly shooting at Oakland gas station; victim found in car
OAKLAND, Calif. - Oakland police on Wednesday began investigating a deadly shooting at a gas station.
Officers responded to a Valero station at 22nd and East 12th streets at about 2:30 a.m.
Spokeswoman Johnna Watson said officers found a man, who doesn't live in Oakland, with multiple gunshot wounds. Video at the scene showed he was in the driver's seat of a white car. He died of his injuries on scene, she said.
Homicide investigators were called to begin investigating what happened. Video at the scene shows officers inspecting the site as well as the white car.
There was no information provided about the shooter or the motive.
