Dog found in swimming pool re-united with owner

A dog was caught taking a swim at a Napa home late Saturday night and reunited with his owner, police reported.

Police found the dog at around midnight at a home on El Nido Drive. The resident initially called police to report a dog in their pool and officers brought him back to the station to take care of him.

The dog's teeth were chattering and police called for some blankets to warm him up. He was reunited with his owners Sunday morning at about 9:30 a.m., according to police.

Officers learned the dog, which is named Tug, is nearly 15-years-old.

Police said because Tug was micro chipped they were easily able to reunite him with his owner.
