Earthquake rattles near Cobb in Northern California's Lake County

The U.S. Geological Survey reports a magnitude 4.7 earthquake struck near Cobb in Lake County on Wednesday night. 

The quake fluctuated in magnitude from 4.8 before it was downgraded and then upgraded back to 4.7. It was measured at 6:34 p.m.

There have been no early reports of damage or injuries. 

Weak to light shaking was felt in parts of the North Bay and in portions of San Francisco, according to the USGS

State Senator Mike McGuire, D-Healdsburg, posted on social media at 6:40 p.m. that a "pretty good shaker" was felt through the North Bay. 

Santa Rosa Fire also weighed in on the quake, posting on X that it was felt in the Santa Rosa area.
