East Bay furniture store closing after 75 years
CASTRO VALLEY, Calif. - A furniture store in the East Bay is planning to close after 75 years in business.
Connolly's Furniture & Mattress is closing both of its locations, in Castro Valley and Livermore.
The owner says business has dropped due to the pandemic and it's time to close.
About 20 people will lose their jobs.
The store's website says four generations of family members have worked at Connolly's since 1945.
