Fatal car accident by Machado Park in Santa Clara

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (KTVU) - A person died in Santa Clara on Monday morning after a major accident by Machado Park, police said.

The accident was report at 1:31 a.m. at Cabrillo Avenue and Fordham Drive. Video showed at least two cars with extensive damage. 

Police expected the investigation to take about three hours. Cabrillo Avenue was closed between Fordham Drive and Nobili Avenue.
