Fatal stabbing on University Avenue in Berkeley

BERKELEY, Calif. - A person is dead from a fatal stabbing in Berkeley on Sunday afternoon, police said. 

A suspect, who has not been identified, was detained.

Officials say a victim was found dead with stab wounds in the 1300 block of University Avenue in Berkeley shortly before 3 p.m. by the Berkeley Fire Department.

Officials say they don't believe any other suspects are involved or that there's any danger to the public.
