Fire breaks out at Fruitvale warehouse near train tracks

OAKLAND, Calif. - A fire broke out early Wednesday morning at a warehouse in Oakland's Fruitvale district near Union Pacific train tracks.

The fire was reported about 5 a.m. at East 12th Street and 29th Avenue. 

Crews on scene told KTVU that the fire is racing through an abandoned building, and that firefighters have been there at least three times this year. 

Rail service was disrupted during the firefight.
