Fire in Vallejo prompts evacuation order

VALLEJO, Calif. - A fire burning in Vallejo on Thursday afternoon prompted the Solano County sheriff to issue an evacuation order.
Fire officials said the fire broke out at Banning Way and Benicia Road.
Aerial video showed that the fire had been put out, leaving some scorched Earth.
The fire had been burning near several residential homes.
The sheriff lifted the evacuation order shortly before 3 p.m.
