Firefighters extinguish gas station fire in Antioch
ANTIOCH, Calif. - Firefighters have extinguished a fire at a gas station in Antioch late Thursday afternoon.
The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District said on social media that the interior fire at Lone Tree Way and Worrell Road has been knocked down.
There are two gas stations at this intersection. The two-alarm fire was fully involved as it sent up plumes of thick black smoke.

In their first post, the incident was listed as a working commercial fire at 3:53 p.m. Their follow-up about gaining the upper hand came at 4:20 p.m.
Firefighters confirmed there were no injuries and that the cause of the fire is under investigation.
