Fireworks and fun around the Bay Area on July 4th
The Fourth of July is here! Check out local activities including parades, fairs, firework shows, and family fun around the Bay Area.
Alameda County Fair
Live entertainment, horse racing, funnel cakes and more. Fair hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. but this year, no admission after 3 p.m. Fair admission is between $7.50- $15. 4501 Pleasanton Avenue Pleasanton, CA For more information visit here.
Alameda
Join the community of Alameda for one of the largest parades in the nation. The mayor’s annual Fourth of July Parade will take place in downtown Alameda. The R.A.C.E. begins at 9 a.m. and the parade at 10 a.m. For more information visit www.alamedaparade.com.
Berkeley Marina
Live performances, fireworks, food, and family fun. The City of Berkeley is hosting a Fourth of July Celebration that will kick of at noon starting at the main stage located at 210 University Ave. Following the fireworks show will being at 9:35 p.m. at the end of the Berkeley Marina Pier. Viewing is best along Seawall Drive south of the Pier or from Hs Lordship’s parking lot. For more information click here.

Concord
The 5K/ Kids run beings at 8 a.m. The parade route is scheduled for 10 a.m beginning at Mt. Diablo High School. Festival gates open at 4 p.m. Admission is free. After dark the fireworks begin at 9 p.m. For more information visit here.
El Cerrito
Celebrate America’s birthday at the El Cerrito 4th of July Festival. Live music, tasty foods, vendor booths, and fun for children. This family- friendly event takes place at Cerrito Vista Park from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Admission is free.
Marin County
The Marin Mommies have compiled a list of fireworks, pancake breakfasts and parades throughout the county. Find out more here.
Napa County Fair
Parade, fair and fireworks in downtown Calistoga beginning at 11 a.m. Doors open at noon. General admission is $15 and children 5 years and younger are free. For more information, click here. Fireworks will start "when it's good and dark."
Oakland
Keep cool and celebrate Independence Day at the Jack London Square Block Party. Live music, tasty food, vendor booths, kid activities and more. This event is free for all from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. near Embarcadero West and Broadway. For more information, click here.
Piedmont
The city of Piedmont will kick off its small-town parade at 11 a.m. at the corner of Highland Avenue and Park Way.

Palo Alto

Richmond
Pre-July 4 festivities take place on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at Marina Bay Park in Richmond. In addition to music and BBQ, there will be a small fireworks show.
San Francisco
Head to Fisherman's Wharf for an evening of live entertainment and a night of fireworks. Showtime is at 9:30 p.m. and can be viewed from the Aquatic Park and Pier 39. In case you get stuck in Bay Bridge traffic, you can always watch the show from your car.
San Jose
Join the Rotary Club of San Jose for an exciting night of red, white, and blue. This is a family friendly event taking place at Discovery Meadow, 180 Woz Way, San Jose, CA 95110. Scheduled show time is approximately 9:30 p.m. For information, click here.
