Flood advisory issued by weather service for parts of Marin County

For the second day in a row, the Bay Area has been lashed by winds and inundated with rain and flooding.

The National Weather Service issued a flood advisory Sunday afternoon for southeastern Marin County, to be in effect until 4:45 p.m.

Heavy rain is expected to cause minor flooding in some locations, including: San Rafael, Novato, Mill Valley, San Anselmo, Larkspur, Corte Madera, Tiburon, Fairfax, Sausalito, San Geronimo, Kentfield, Lucas Valley-Marinwood, Strawberry, Tamalpais-Homestead Valley, Ross, Belvedere, Middle Peak Raws,Santa Venetia and Big Rock Raws.

In addition, strong winds up to 40 mph in the area are possible, the weather service said.
